Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord... Philippians 3:8

Finishing things up for Sunday's Student Ministries Appreciation dinner. As I look over the names of the 104 different people who have served in Children's Ministry during my two year ministry here, I am very thankful. Some like to say it takes special people to work in Children's Ministry, I like to think it takes people who are listening to the Holy Spirits leading. Those people who are getting out of the boat. Jumping into making a lifelong impact in the life of a child. To me there is no greater blessing than seeing the face of a child as they learn about Jesus. Thank you to all those 104 individuals who have served and will continue to serve. You are a blessing!

While working the gate at the soccer complex last night, I admitted several young men carrying the pass titled "Lifetime admittance". These young men have earned this pass for their efforts in winning the Basketball state championship last year. This lifetime admittance pass allows them to enter activites for Washington Community Schools for free for their lifetime. How awesome is that? .....Pretty awesome. However, I want my "lifetime admittance" pass to be for the Kingdom of Heaven. I want my best accomplishement to be saving a soul.

Pondering why following Christ is so hard. I am growing more concerned that satan has seized people in this gray area. My heart is very heavy this morning for people that I know. Father, please show me the way to help these people draw close to you. Make me an instrument of your good works. Amen.

Finishing up the lesson series "Life is a Highway" for elementary students. I will never look at the following road signs again in the same way: One Way, Stop, Yield, Merge, Construction Zone, Detour, Wrong Way, Watch for Children and Dead end.
